Chromis (Chromis viridis) are great to add to an aquarium. They are relatively hardy and if you have a larger aquarium then you can add a small group. These fish are also very docile toward other fish in the tank. They normally come in two colours (blue and green). These fish normally stay toward the top of your aquarium and are very active.
One of the good things about chromis is that they do not grow to be that large. They normally do not grow larger than 2 inches in length. Chromis also come in a variety of colors and make a great addition to any aquarium.
My Chromis are one of the more active creatures in my aquarium. When I picked them up, I originally bought 3 blue ones. The first night I had them, one was sucked into my overflow and died. The other 2 are still alive and kicking. The Chromis are very fun to watch as they seem to play together and actually get along quite well with my juvenile blue hippo tang. These fish swim in and out of the rock and normally stay toward the top of the tank unless its feeding time. My Chromis sometime seem to change their colors from a dark blue to a dark green (i guess depending on there mood).
