@EpicDriver97 4 power compact bulbs (65 watts each). They can’t sustain hard corals, but are great for softies.
What light are you useing.
thats nice man
Beautiful tank man
Sweet Tank! Hey Cuz!!
Yup, I’ve had problems with ick. I had to quarantine that hepatus at least once. I gave him a fresh water dip too. However, once I got to the point where my tank was stable and consistant all those problems went away. I rushed a few things at the beginnning, which never works well with aquariums.
I don’t supplement with calcium. I used to use strontium/molybdenum and iodine, but I stopped supplementing all together a few years ago. As long as you do regular water changes (once a month), the new salt contains enough calcium and other supplements.
Awesome tank. Your coralline algae looks great. What are you using for calcium? Have you had an problems with ick on your blue tang? I’ve heard that they are prone to disease.
wow what an amazing tank

excelente vídeo para quem ama as belezas naturais
than you for posting realy impresive
@1badla yellow tang with white and black marking called zombie tang!!!! lol
@1badla
The tangs are tri-colour tangs(Zebrasoma tricolor). Some consider them to be a variant of the yellow tang or scopas tang.They could ofcourse be a hybrid of both fish or a seperate species but i think school is still out on that.
@adamjhulk
Its even better then most public Salt water Tanks. Most of the public Aquaria i visited so far, have sinthetic corals, and rocks, with the fish, and some corals in separate tanks. Supposedly the so called Professionals should be able to do better than that, but to see pearls like saxby’s reef, you need to resort to “amateur’s”. Same goes for “corporations” in the aquaria business..Sinthetic corals are the mark of a “professional”… Go Mr Saxby, you are the best=)
does anyone know what those yellow tangs are called with the white and black markings?
@adamjhulk That’s impressive. I agree with adamjhulk. This is the best aquarium video on YouTube. It certainly demonstrates David’s skill and knowledge. 3700 gallons! It looks as if it was plucked it out of a pristine part of the ocean. I could watch this for hours:-)

this is so amazing! best saltwater aquarium on youtube!!
Only in my wildest dreams would i ever have something like this. Whenever I am stressed I like to watch this video. It has a soothing, calming effect that is very refreshing.
Basically copperbands are quite territorial so fitting a mirror at one end of the trap at the opposite end to the door will entice the fish to enter the trap to display.
I use mirrorson the outside of the aquarium when introducing other tangs,this tends to keep them busy displaying to the mirror whilst the new additions settle.
Can you tell me more about that mirror trap??? I have one or two things that I would like to get out of the tank too…
at his local shop with another juvenile. The shop then recieves a robust well fed copperband and David gains another young fish to consume any pest amemone’s in his tank.
Im pretty sure that knowone to date has had luck with tangs due to their spawning behaviour(pelagic), the same with Anthias.
David has observed breeding behaviour but never an actual spawning event of the Tangs and Anthias. With regards to the copperband. David finds that after sometime juvenile copperbands turn their attention from Aptasia pest anemone’s to soft flesh LPS corals and clams. At this point David uses a mirror trap to entice and trap the fish. He then exchanges the fish TBC
