20 Long AIO: Build day 4 Painting

That false wall was painted and mounted with silicone. Finally the tank is almost complete – the last touch before adding live stock is to get the back of the tank painted and to set up the equipment.

For this tank, I decided to have a few different viewing windows. 3 slits in the back chambers, just in case of a clog. Then one large window for the refugium. I plan to construct a refugium light to stick on to the side window that can be removable so anyone can see whats going on inside.

Papers from school – I knew what I learned would be useful in the future ;)

Definitely dont want to get any paint on the front glass.

Here is the window to see into the refugium. This will be a great unique addition to the tank.

Looking down into the all in one chambers you can see that space is pretty tight. However, I have measured everything out and all the peices will fit just perfectly. The middle chamber of the AIO will hold a media rack as well with chemical filters. I may even try to fit an HOB skimmer as well.

The refugium window is going to be so awesome. I am very excited about being able to see pods running around and chaeto growing. Mangroves are undecided at this point.

Here is the angle you will see when you first come up the stairs of my apartment. I love that the full length of the tank is available to view.

Finished Product. Sorry for the low quality flash image.

All that needs to be completed from here on is mounting the light in the hood, constructing the media rack for the center chamber, and porting all my livestock over. Next update for this tank will have fish and coral – get excited, I am!
